  • Poet’s Palace is the warmest, most welcoming poetry night I’ve ever experienced. The supportive atmosphere has transformed my confidence as a performer, while the unique blend of friendly competition, live improvised music and genuine generosity creates something truly special. It’s a place where anyone can shine, and I’m incredibly grateful to Biz for creating such a wonderful space for poetry to thrive.

  • The energy and support never fails to make me feel grateful to be part of the Poets Palace community.

  • Spaces like this are rare, and they deserve support not just for the art they platform, but for the community and accessibility they cultivate. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any poet, musician, or audience member seeking a night of quality, thought-provoking entertainment.

  • I’ve only been a part of the Poet Palace family a few months, but it’s already been such a journey of self discovery for me, rooted in free expression without the fear of judgement. I’ve been able to discover a passion, that now serves as my primary emotional outlet and has helped me verbalise so many feelings that had been stagnant within me for so long. Truly transformative 🙂

Spoken word, reimagined as a festival.

In July 2025, In The Palace Festival transformed the iconic Crystal Palace Subway into a one-of-a-kind celebration of spoken word and live performance. Set beneath the vaulted brick arches of the original Palace grounds, the festival brought poetry into an extraordinary space, creating a meeting point for powerful words, immersive sound and live artistic expression.

Featuring a carefully curated line-up of leading voices from the spoken-word scene, it offered audiences something beyond the traditional poetry night: a full festival experience rooted in language, place and creative connection.

Not just a poetry night. A festival in the Palace.
